What's the difference between white, brown and pink noise?
White noise spreads energy evenly across all frequencies — the classic static hiss that masks sudden sounds. Brown noise shifts that energy toward deep, low frequencies for a softer rumble many sleepers prefer. Pink noise sits in between, balancing depth and brightness. NoiseTape includes all three, plus 123 other sounds.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Your unlock is tied to your Apple Account. Install NoiseTape on the new device and it unlocks automatically; if it doesn't, tap Restore Purchases on the unlock screen. One purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac.

Will it drain my battery overnight?
Audio playback with the screen locked is one of the lightest things your device can do, and NoiseTape uses no network at all. For all-night sessions we still recommend charging while you sleep — and the fade-out timer can stop playback once you're under.

Can I control NoiseTape from the Mac menu bar?
Yes — on Mac, NoiseTape lives in your menu bar. Play or pause with one click or ⌘P, switch between your key sounds, set the sleep timer and watch its countdown right in the bar — no need to open the main window.

No — NoiseTape is built natively for Apple platforms: iPhone and iPad on iOS 17+, and Mac on macOS 14+ (Apple silicon). That focus is what keeps it small, fast and offline.
